If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s wires. They’re like bad hair: unruly, aesthetically displeasing & difficult to tame. The Powermat looks like a sleek skateboard that lets you say sayonara to cord clutter and charges your “I’ll-sooner-cut-my-arm-off-than-live-without-it” hand held devices by simply placing them on its surface.

It all starts with a receiver that creates a kung fu grip between your device & the mat, followed by a light & sound that tells you its charging. It’s smart enough to know to stop charging a device that’s full even if there are others its charging that still need more juice.

This thing is so cool, simply owning one will up your level of cool by at least 10 points.
